With lots of exciting days planned, we are looking forward to a fun, pony filled summer holiday!
On each pony day the kids learn different elements of horse care and stable management, such as:
- grooming - tacking up/ untacking - mucking out - safely leading from the ground - feeding
After munching on their well-deserved packed lunches in the log cabin (heated if necessary for the damper days or out on the patio for the warmer weather), the kids return for another ride. Sometimes it’s an afternoon hack in the sunshine along the quiet country roads, and we’ve also done mounted games in the school, taken a walk down the track through the woods, learnt new skills from rising trot to jumping for the more experienced riders. There’s also dismounted fun such as team building games and quizzes.
There is still some availability before that happens though so please contact us on 01505 705125 for more information or to book. For ages 6 years and over. No previous experience necessary, however we do recommend at least a couple of pony walks first to get a feel for it.
